The story takes place in 1987, southern Canada and Northern US. Researched and collaborated with director for the authentic teenage groups and then sourced key pieces for each look for our main cast of 5. Thirty-eight-day players, each with their own identity in the late 80s genre. Created numerous outfits with original graphics and a Cricut printer.

This outfit was recreated with permission per request of the director from the 1990s movie Dazed and Confused. Using a Cricut printer to get the vintage font and a local talented Breakdown artist to get the perfect shade of blue.
Using colour and patterns, we showed who our characters were and what allegiances they had such as the Mormon family of our main character and the family’s church bishop. Simon’s family appear on screen as a united front which is the feeling Simon had whenever he was home.
To stay true to the time period, each of the boys had only one jacket, their hero jacket, which they wore everywhere. People had smaller closets with less clothing in the 80s.
